how do i get the author title? i havent been using this forum thingy since January when i became an author on the main site

You have to send an e-mail to the admins, and say that you want the author rank.

Yes you can send an email or a pm to one of the admins explaining you are an author, so you would like a banner for it. I would also include what your author name is.
