-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone! It's Vithegreentea, and now Vivianna.
I am the CEO of Moonlight Entertainment, managing BLACKLIST, WHITELIST, Hourglass, and BLOOM.
As someone who has had multiple fake groups since around June of this year and is behind some of the earlier few groups of this generation, I would like to share some tips with potential group managers and possibly new managers as well.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Don't make more than one group at first.
At the beginning, a group or two could be made, but as time continues, one just wants to make more. Experiencing this myself, I advise you to just keep that one or two group(s) because eventually, unless you are very dedicated to your group, you'll start to lose interest and your group won't be promoted as much. This way, the work for the first group will be good quality with originality and interest more people.

2. Use faceclaims that have already been around in the industry for a while.
Keep in mind that all the pictures used, unless you are good at editing/photoshopping will be pictures of the chosen faceclaim. Because of this, the faceclaim you chose will either make finding pictures for your fake idol a lot easier or a lot harder. Try not to use faceclaims of very small groups who have debuted recently.

3. Make smaller groups.
Think about it this way, the less members your group has, the less amount of work you'll have to do for that singular group. The less matching pictures will need to be found. This is part of the reason why the concept of solo artists is very popular in the fake group industry. Save yourself a lot of work while still being able to show your creativity.

4. Use unique concepts.
The more interesting, unique, and consistent a concept is, the more people are drawn to the group. Other group managers will also not be upset because of similar concepts.
TIP FOR THE CURRENT INDUSTRY: Elegant concepts are very popular, the cute concept (without the horror) will be more unique

5. Don't constantly follow the trend.
There are several trendsetters such as @LostInTheDream and @chaerifyyy/@Gwacekpop2 (the Chaence CEOs). They (specifically @LostInTheDream) come up with with new ideas (ex. vlives, album deliveries, etc.), and these ideas are taken by other group managers and used without credit or permission. It is upsetting to the group manager and basically claiming the idea as yours. Come up with something new that has not been done before. This could possibly make you a new trendsetter.

6. Be realistic with your idols.
After making your idols, think about if they are realistic and if they would actually be acceptable by the general public and the world. If not, it's probably not a good idea as it takes away from this concept of fake groups. In my opinion, fake groups should mimic reality to some extent, this including not making your idol 90lbs, because they would be severely underweight and deemed unattractive and near starvation.

7. Don't use the same faceclaims and names as others (particularly well known artists)
Fans of the artists will be unhappy and considering that there are only a set amount of people who follow fake groups (mostly group managers) you need to maintain a good relationship with these people. There is a thread made by @LostInTheDream listing most of the stage names & faceclaims in use. Try to be original and creative.

8. Make easy and recognizable group names.
The more unique and easy/recognizable they are, the more memorable your group will be. It will most likely help people recognize your group, leading to your group not being left out in things regarding multiple artists.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SIDE NOTES:
Most of these are just my personal ideas on how a group should be, feel free to disagree but please be respectful about it.
Nothing said in here was meant to target anyone. If you felt that way, I understand and apologize.
These are all based on what is going on currently in the fake group industry, this may change over time.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DISCLAIMERS:
I'd like to apologize to everyone that I tagged (especially if I tagged you multiple times), I hope I didn't bother you.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Feel free to discuss and give tips of your own!

Hi I'm LostInTheDream or Lostie!
I am the creator of ENCHANTRESS.
I am also debuting a new group called Mythos soon.
I've been making this type of content for several years and here's some tips!

Finding Songs, Group Names, Member Names
For me, the concept is typically what comes first, so finding the rest can take some work.
Group Names
Try googling synonyms for words associated with the concept.
For example: Mythos is a synonym for mythology.
This process can also work for finding album names.
Finding Songs
If you can’t find songs for an albums concept try searching on youtube ‘kpop lyrics (insert word associated with concept)’
You can also find a lot of really great songs for your personal playlist this way.
Finding Stage Names
If you’re having a hard time finding a stage name I would look at baby name websites for the country the idol is from. A lot of asian names have really beautiful meanings that fit certain personalities. You can also develop a stage name based on this name.
For example: Violet of ENCHANTRESS’s birth name is Kang Hwayoung. Hwayoung means small flower.

Having a Balanced Album
If you want to release an album it's usually best to make it balanced while still maintaining the concept.
The title track should be the main voice for the album.
I usually try to include 1 ballad, 1 rap based song, a promotional bside, and more traditional bsides.
Having the ballad and rap based song means equality for members of all positions.
For the promo bside I usually try to pick something that is a title track but has a different vibe than the title.
Traditional bsides are just songs that don't fall into the above categories but still add substance to the album.

Picking Face Claims
You should really put an effort into picking the right face claim.
You should consider the concept the most.
If you have a cute concept it's not wise to pick a member of Blackpink. You will barely have any pictures to use.
Like mentioned above, the longer the idol has been in the industry the more content of them there will be.
It may also help to pick an idol who has the same skill as your idol.
Having a vocalist face claim for a vocalist member means you have access to videos of them singing.
Check the face claim and stage name thread!

Creating Idols
I always try to establish a backstory and facts about my idols before they even debut.
I typically start from the beginning. How did they get into kpop, who inspired them.
Then I go into companies and training.
You can throw in survival shows and other exposure to media.
I think it's important to identify how long each idol has been training under their debut company as well.
Having facts and info about their personalities can also help with differentiating them in things like Vlives and interviews.
I always find it easier to identify personality traits by that of other idols.
It also makes it easier for users to understand how they behave.
Same goes with vocal/rap tone, how they dance, their skill level, performance type, etc.
Try to keep a document with this information if you can.

Distributing Lines
Not everyone distributes lines but I find it really fun and satisfying.
Here is the best way for distributing lines in my opinion:
1. Copy and paste a romanized version of the song in a document for the album.
2. Have the document be half your screen and the other half be the lyric video of the song.
3. Assign parts based on position and vocal/rap tone.
I will typically put the member’s name in bold next to the line.
If they are doing adlibs that are not marked in the lyrics I will put ‘(Member Name) Adlib’.
If it’s a song that will be performed, consider which members are the center, visual, and dancers.
Centers typically get lines in the beginning of songs, the end, and during the chorus or other killing parts.
Visuals might also get more killing parts.
If there is a dance break with random words shouted out it would be best to give them to the main dancer, as they will be center then.
4. After the song has been distributed you can check the fairness by using a timer.
You can do one member at a time or use an app that has multiple timers.
It’s okay if you discover what you assigned is super unfair.
Just find out ways to remove lines and add them when necessary.

Making Distribution Videos
Also not required, but this is how I make my videos.
*Please do not exactly copy my formula and do a variation*
1. Go to a powerpoint type site such as Google Slides or Canva.
2. Create a base slide that has the name and picture of each member.
3. Then create a slide for each member.
This could entail making the rest of the member’s photos black and white, removing the names of the other members, etc.
4. Download jpegs or pngs all of the slides.
5. In your editing software add the MP3 version of the song and add and cut the slides depending on who is singing when.
After I’m finished with this I will usually record the distribution again.
You may find yourself redoing the distribution after seeing a visual representation.
Sometimes things don’t seem unfair or odd unless you see it.
6. Once done you can download the video onto your computer.
7. Upload the video to YouTube.
I usually do this as an unlisted video. This way only people who have the link can watch it. But it’s up to you.
If YouTube blocks it you might have to try uploading it to another software such as Dailymotion.

Make One of The Members A Version of You/What You Want to Be
I have found that it is a lot more fun to have a fake group if one of the members is supposed to represent you.
You can make this idol how you would want to be viewed if you were an idol.
It may seem lame, but it means you can have mini concerts in your room.

To be Continued

Hi I'm LostInTheDream or Lostie!
I am the creator of ENCHANTRESS.
I am also debuting a new group called Mythos soon.
I've been making this type of content for several years and here's some tips!

Stay Organized
My biggest tip by far is to stay organized.
Especially if you have multiple artists or multiple albums for one artist.
It is so easy to forget information or that you used a song already.

Album Info
I usually have a document called (Group Name) Home for each artist.
There I will list basic information such as:
Group name, debut date, company, debut album, concept, member names+ages+positions,
Then create a section for each album where I list the name of the album and tracks at least.
Then I will make a document specifically for the album.
Here I will have all the distributions and the tracklist.
I then hyperlink this document to the album description on the Home doc.
It makes for easier access.

I would also recommend making a powerpoint type document for each album.
This is where you can keep the album, concept photos, and other promotional materials.

I also try to make a folder in Google Drive for each group, album, and other content.

Group Info
I always make a kprofiles type profile for each group of mine.
This is where you can put information about the members and the group.
Photos of face claims, stage names, real names, positions, height/weight, country of origin, age, etc.
Introduction, fandom name, group and fandom colors, logo, company, debut date, social media account names.
This is what ENCHANTRESS's profile looks like: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lemcZAsC45xdEN-EAi-sZYAPoMR8vkfz5cExMPaF_Fs/edit?usp=sharing
Having all this info in one place is so so so helpful!

Tips for group future and current group managers
--

1.) Create a certain sound for your album that fits the comeback or debut concept
For example if you put Playing with Fire by BLACKPINK and add My Sea by IU right after it won't make sense. It will make the listener feel underwhelmed and make it seem like their listening to a playlist on shuffle. Instead trya dding a song between those to that will make the transition between the songs smoother like Waiting For by Taemin taht si a mix of boths ongs.

2.) When creating scandals for your idol make it realistic
I made this mistake a few times by announcing randomly that this fake k-pop idol has this scandal or that scandal out of nowhere. Instead I feel like I should have built up for the scandal (creates some talk/tension around it) and then announce it.

3.) Make your idol relate to the fan
For your idols if you want them to be popular and create a fanbase around them a good idea is to give your idol a trait that is unique or relates to most people. Whether it be their humor, likes/dislikes, or even a sob story. It will grab the viewers attention and give the idol more popularity.

4.) To make a comeback popular bring up hype for it
To get more popularity for your groups's comeback promote or tease it through instagram images, spoilers, word scrambles, etc.

Also I know @viviana mentioned this but please give credit to other creators for the ideas that you use from them you don't have to credits all the time but atleast the first 1-2 times. Because me and @Gwacekpop2 had made these album packages and I noticed that some people were doing the same (which I don't mind) but hadn't credited us for it.

I really want to emphasize making only 1-2 groups at a time. If you look at the sub-section for fake groups there are a lot of started groups. Some debuted months ago and others didn't even get there. I understand being busy with life, but that's not the case in most instances. If you know you won't have time for one group then don't make another. It also kinda just makes me sad to see all the effort put into a group with a super cool concept and then nothing...
Also I don't mind having the idea of starting vlives and albums being used by other creators. It's kinda flattering cause I thought all of them were stupid ideas.
Also emphasis on not using the face claims/stage names of established groups. It seems petty but we put a lot of effort into making these idols and content for them. So seeing them pop up again kinda makes me feel defeated.

9. Identify your purpose and focal point.
Identifying these two things will help simplify your group and if desired, make it easier with less members, etc. An example would be if someone’s focal point was music quality, it wouldn’t really matter how many members of the group there were or what the concept is. The main thing that would matter is a consistent sound that connects to the other aspects of the artist.

I’m not sure if this makes sense, I think this is mostly just me trying to make things easier and cutting corners but you can make your own judgement.

Something that I just discovered:
Make an ordered list of the various activities you want your artist(s) to do. This will help you stay on track.
For example:
1. Group 1 - 1st full album
2. Group 2 - 3rd EP
I would recommend alternating artists so they get their fair share of attention.
I just did this with all Ever After Artists. Not only does it make me feel more organized, but it helped me come up with more ideas.

Try to have a variety of songs from different artists and albums with bsides and title tracks.
I agree however you have to diverse set of songs smooth whenever you connect a song through a b-side try to think of it as a passage way to make the whole album make sense not like a shuffle playlist

Yes. What I mean is that the whole album should not feature a single artist or a single sound. Rather the signature sound of the artist molded into different styles that form a cohesive album.

Yeah I agree with that I was trying to add on to that for the people who want to create a diverse album with different sounds instead of one specific one.

When you are deciding on the concept for your group or a comeback, consider the ages of your members. Even if they are fictional, you are sending a message that it's okay to give kids a sexier concept or a song that has cursing in it.
Furthermore, think about the outrage surrounding the debuts of idols like Leeseo, Lapillus's maknae, the NewJeans members, some of the class:y members, and now Babymonster. You saw how much people were disgusted by the ages of these idols who were debuting, so maybe it would be wise to not debut someone of that same age. You're just gonna get similar outrage and potential boycott if you do.

idk if anyone looks at this thread anymore but:
Pick a concept that is unique but also doable. Right now there are a lot of groups doing similar concepts. So picking something that hasn't been done yet could draw in more intrigue. But also make sure you can create more than just a debut that fits the concept.

Also consider other creators' feelings when you pick a concept nearly identical to another fictional artist. A concept is something that can take a while to develop, especially when it's very unique. So it can be hurtful for existing creators to see a new group debut that is pretty much a 2.0 version of their group.
:cautious:😔

As some will know, I have been promoting my fictional group ENCHANTRESS for a little over a year.

Since I have spent so much time in the fik-idol industry, I decided to post some tips I have gathered along the way.
*Please do not take any of these points as me addressing you personally. These are things I have observed or experienced several times throughout my 1 year as a creator on Kprofiles.*
Thank you to @yunaing for editing this for me!

Thoughts About Minors
When selecting the ages of your members, be conscious about the types of songs and concepts you're giving them. Debuting a group with a lot of minors when you intend to give them a girl crush or mature sounds may seem problematic to other users. It's better to make a group of all adults if you want that type of sound. Think about how it would be perceived in real life.

In relation to positions, if you intend to post covers of your group, having a minor as a main dancer in particular might cause issues. Many dances are on the provocative side or have music with 18+ lyrics. So finding a video could pose some problems.

Finally, a bit of a personal ick, if you are going to pick a minor as a face claim please keep the idol that way. (For example: If you pick Leeseo of IVE as a face claim, don't make her idol 20.) It's just a bit concerning to see a child be labeled as an adult. I doubt there is any malicious intention of doing this, but it's something to be cautious of.

Face/Name Claims
Picking face claims that suit your concept will help you out in the future if you're making photocards and photobooks with their faces in them. (For example: if you have a cute concept but your claim is from a girl crush group, it will be hard to find photos for that member as they they are likely to post cuter photos.)

On the same subject of photobooks/cards, picking active idols and idols who have been debuted for a while will be beneficial, as there will be more content to choose from.

Also, face claims aren't actually obligated when you create a group. If you're not going to use the face claims much if at all, it might be considerate to just not claim anyone and instead blank out any eyes when idols are used. This will allow other people who are going to use them more actively to use the faces.

Concepts
When choosing a concept, you might want to consider what other groups are already doing. Picking a concept that's different from the others will help your group stand out and be more interesting to the audience.

Furthermore, it's always good to know exactly what you want their sound to be before you begin creating the group, rather than picking songs you simply want to use and hoping it holds together. You can always save songs for a more suitable album that comes along later!

Try to aim for a broad and abstract concept, rather than a very specific one. With a versatile concept more songs are open for your use. Having a more diverse group will also better demonstrate YOUR creativity.

Post-Debut
If you have an idea you're proud of and is unique, you should definitely give it a go. Just because it hasn't been done before doesn't mean it will be bad. Anything that makes you and your group stand out will bring more interest to your group, and may inspire others. And if it doesn't work out, you don't have to do it again.

Another thing to be aware of is the attitude you give to your group. If you go into a debut not caring, or thinking the group will flop, well then it will. People will care less about your group if you yourself don't care.

Remember, the fik-verse is suppose to be fun. If your workload feels too much and it's causing you stress, it likely means you've taken on too much work. If you only have 1 or 2 artists, this might be a sign you need a rest. If you have 3+ artists, perhaps consider whether you need them all and whether putting an end to some might be more beneficial for you. It's okay to disband a group if you know you can't keep up or it will harm you personally. So if your workload is getting too big, perhaps try and incorporate your new ideas into your existing groups instead.

If you do feel too much stress from an artist and decide to leave them inactive, it may be better if you just disband them. This way other creators can use any faces or names that you claimed that are now just going to be sitting around for several months.

It might also be more respectful to other creators if you don't put together a comeback right before your claims are about to expire, just so you can keep the claims.

Finally, even though I know a new group is very exciting, remember to pace your group as much as possible. If you release too much at once, you might find yourself lacking concepts or songs later on (just like I am). If you're worried about people forgetting about your group, continue to post non-comeback related content in between comebacks. It doesn't have to be much! But it might also help other users get to know more about who your fik-idols are.

PLEASE if you are going to debut a group pick an original concept. I can’t speak for all creators, but I know for me it’s upsetting when I see a group copying a very specific concept I worked hard to create.

Users will also be more likely to view your posts if it’s not something they’ve already seen. Benefits both parties so why not give it a try. PLEASE 😩
