Thoughts on ITZY'S teasers

Since the Sneaker's sneak peak I'm a little dissapointed. I was so hyped about the royale concept, and then they come with a Jojo Siwa song. I don't really know how the entire song is gonna go, but I really wanted to listen an elegant itzy, not just see. I would like to read more opinions abt this.

I really hope that this is a joke or maybe it’s just not the real title
But from the second I saw that the title called “Sneakers” I knew it wouldn’t be so elegant but I didn’t imagine it would be Subway surfer song
But anyways if it’s the real title it would probably be a HUGE trend on TikTok for a long time
It’s sound nice overall ig

i'm disappointed, ngl. i was so excited for a royal concept and a more mature side of itzy, but we didn't get that. and i rly rly hope i like at least the bsides bc i've alr preordered the album and i can't cancel it

time for my midzy rant.

So like, to me JYP doesn’t really show ITZY’s true potential. Take Lia for example. She’s the main vocal but also considered one of K-pop’s worst main vocalists. But she’s not a bad singer she just sings in a way that doesn’t suit her voice. When you see her pre-debut material where she sings jazzier songs SHE SOUNDS INCREDIBLE.

So when I saw the royal concept teasers I thought maybe just maybe we were going to try a concept switch again and this time it would be a more appropriate one. I was imagining something a bit like shoot. Edgy but like also calm…
And then no, they threw this at us.
And the song sounds… bad… like I love all their other title tracks and this fits the regular vibe they go for… it just sounds weird. It sounds annoying dare i say. So that’s a shame

Lia did say “it’s not what it seems” though and the teasers have been… odd. Like painting with ketchup?? I’m really hoping this is just a whole scheme to trick people. But I’m losing hope

I feel same about twice and skz, but maybe because there are so much talented artists and good songs he rejected, or maybe cause he's a creep, i don't trust JYP

oh kidz bop would never make an original song, they will take the song and remove unnecessary parts to make it sound "kid-friendly" but in reality its just trash.

I was thinking about this earlier today and I'm probably going to make a "Fixing Itzy's Discography" thread once Checkmate is released cause I have a premonition...and it's not a good one. First off, Sneakers looks like it was supposed to be in the Crazy in Love album but got scrapped last minute and replaced so JYP could bring it out at the "perfect" time. Now is NOT the right time. I personally hope this comeback has a more elegant feel, like IVE's Love Dive era, or maybe even something like Gas Me Up, one of the bsides from Crazy in Love. However, I'm not sure what to expect... I guess expect the unexpected?

omg, I just clicked on the link and.... I am not excited for this cutesy sound that's going on. And when I saw the first teasers that were really elegant and pretty I was soo excited, but it doesn't sound like it's going to be elegant :/

I was so disappointed when I saw the whole sneakers thing.
I was really excited for the royal and mature concept. It would suit them really well, especially since all their ending poses involve a crown.
I'm praying JYP says psych and we don't get a disney channel original song about being strong and walking through life like a badass.
