Thoughts on BLACKSWAN's Goodbye Rania?

Ok look this is sort of confusing so Blackswan is a 5 member girl group that debuted this year. Before that they were a girl group called Rania and before that they were a girl group called BP Rania.

Anyway the fact that Blackswan has a Senegal member Fatou and a Brazilian-Japanese member Leia already made controversy on whether they should be included in kpop at all. It is clear that the company (DR Music) used them to get their group more recognised and more press.

DR Music did Blackswan dirty by releasing Goodby Rania because it is re-released Rania songs. They sound outdated and if someone wanted to listen to Rania they would listen to Rania not the re-released Rania songs on Blackswan's debut album. They had so much potential with this re-debut and could have utilised their multiculturalism. Instead they fumbled and messed up majorly. I honestly just feel sorry for the girls that are under such terrible management.

What are your thoughts on Blackswan and Rania?

i dont really know much about Rania so I didn't know until now that blackswan's debut was rereleased rania songs... if they were gonna do that i would've expected them to keep the rania brand...
ive only heard the title track but i like it a lot. hopefully they can hit their stride and establish themselves

It’s great but they only sold 17 copies which isn’t great. I hope in the future, people would stop sleeping in them. Goodbye Raina is definitely on my top 20 title tracks of 2020.

i followed Alex Reid's ( former RaNia member , was black american) story about her time as an idol, and as a black person, i do want to support blackswan but after what Alex went through, i am hesitant to. I don't want to have to witness such. Hopefully they do treat Fatou
better
