BlueWing: Enlisted officers that have not received a degree from Gemini Academy. They make up a large percent of crew members and typically fill the basic jobs within a specialty, but are crucial to the proper function of a ship.
BronzeWing: These are the lowest ranking commissioned officers. They are the bulk of crewmembers considering this is the immediate rank obtained after graduation from Gemini Academy. Some continue their education while on assignments through virtual education courses.
SilverWing: These officers hold some authority on assignments, but not as much as GoldWings do. They may serve as the assistants to GoldWings. SilverWing officers have a higher degree of education than BronzeWings.
GoldWing: These officers often serve as the specialty leaders on an assigned ship. They are the superiors who have the final say on all matters within their specialty. Many of these have professional or doctoral degrees in their specialties. Ship captains classify as GoldWings.
PlatinumWing: The highest ranking officers in the Galaxy Corps. The path to becoming a PlatinumWing is one of hard work, dedication, and selflessness to the military. They almost always act at positions of major military power back on Earth, and will only get involved in missions when there are life-changing matters at hand. Therefore, you will not find one on the Ares.

NOTE: Specialties are distinguished by the color of the collar and stripes on the side of a uniform, which are listed in parentheses.
ALPHA: This branch of specialty is focused on leadership skills. This is the path all hopeful captains must go through, but only a few reach that position of power. Most start off carrying out decisions made by the ship captain and are well-rounded enough to assist when needed in other specialties. (Yellow)
VOICE: Officers in the Voice specialty are proficient in diplomacy and communication. If important words need to be spoken, these are the people for the job. They are crucial factors in summits and meetings between humans and other alien governments. Many speak at least one alien language. Some also serve as performers. (Orange)
BLADE: These officers are the living security of a ship. They are the best of the best in the art of combat of all kinds, including ship weapons. Anything can be used as a weapon in their hands. They give their lives to the protection of the crew and ship and are the first on the scene when a hostile encounter occurs. (Red)
BOLT: The gearheads of a ship’s crew. These officers can take a ship apart and put it back together perfectly. They know how every piece of machinery on a ship should work, big and small. Usually perfectionists that are very good at math, they make up one of the largest specialties. (Green)
ARROW: Officers from this specialty are professionals at flight and transportation of any kind. They often work alongside Bolts to ensure smooth travel at extreme speeds. They are the smallest specialty group on a standard ship, typically only having 10 officers on a crew. (Purple)
CELL: These are the science and medical experts of Gemini Academy. They know what makes humans and most alien species tick physically, and can pick them apart psychologically. The range of their majors can span from chemistry and physics to anatomy and surgical practices. They are also one of the largest specialties within a crew. (Blue)
