WHAT I MEAN BY THIS IS
take a really active forum site for example; like everskies
there's a lot of people on everskies, so you obviously dont know a lot of people or dont see a lot of actives unless they have a lot of posts (like me, im at 9.3k posts on there)
BUT ON SMALL SITES, say for example this site has quite a bit of members but not that many actives.
you know basically everyone, well for me at least, i know a lot of the actives i think JDKHSGJD
MAYBE ITS JUST ME BUT bigger sites are scary idk why JKHDFGSHDF
MAYBE ITS JUST EVERSKIES BC OTHER KPOP FORUM SITES ARENT BAD BUT THIS ONE HAS TO BE MY FAV

On one hand, smaller sites face the risk of inactivity and bigger sites tend to be more toxic and chaotic, but on the other hand, smaller sites are more likely to feel like a community and have stronger connections while bigger sites have more traffic and you're more likely to find someone who shares similar interests with you since there are more people on there.
It really just comes down to the type of person you are and what you value (whether it's information and entertainment, or close relationships and a supportive community).

The pros of bigger websites is obviously more people, so there are similar people of age and personality to you. However, I find a lot of the bigger forums really cliquey. Smaller ones have groups too, but you feel welcomed. Out of all the forums I been on, I love Kprofiles the best.

The cons of small forums though is inactivity. Kprofiles is alive with the active members it has, but there are a lot of people who sign up for accounts and never use it. And there's also not a lot of people my age too, I can only name two members that are older than me. It's not a huge gap, like not more than five years, but it would be more interesting if it had people with more ages.

Overall, I prefer small forums. Bigger websites have cliques, a lot of spam, moderators that favor, and those stupid 'Tag a user' thread that only certain people get tagged in. Smaller forums are more open and easier for moderators to control, so no toxic users or threads.

how old are you? and we used to have 'tag a user' threads be allowed, but we saw the toxicity it caused and they've been deleted ever since

I prefer smaller sites because I'm a very introverted person. So having less people to interact with is less stressful.
I agree. I have accounts on other sites but I don’t use them that much or at all. I feel like this site is my home though, since I’ve been here for nearly 2 years.
