The long awaited sequel to Mnet's Queendom has arrived

Queendom 2 is the sequel to 'Queendom', which aired in 2019 and also the sister series to 'Road To Kingdom' and 'Kingdom'.
Every Thursday at 21:20KST (9.20pm KST) on the Mnet YouTube channel, you can watch Queendom 2. The episodes are also available on VIKI Rakuten each Friday following the Live Streaming.

THE QUEENS:
HYOLYN - Ex-Sistar member and Soloist. Debuted in 2010
VIVIZ - Ex-GFRIEND members and trio, consisting of SinB, Eunha and Umji. Debuted in 2022
WJSN - Currently promoting with 10 members, EXY, Seola, Soobin, Luda, Eunseo, Yeoreum, Dayoung and Yeonjung have been competing since episode 1, with Bona said to be joining from round 3 onwards. Dawon will not be competing due to a hiatus. Debuted in 2016
BRAVE GIRLS - Currently promoting with 4 members: Minyoung, Yujeong, Eunji and Yuna. Debuted in 2016
LOONA - A 12 member group, consiting of Heejin, Hyunjin, Haseul, Vivi, Yeojin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, Choerry, Yves, Chuu, Gowon and Olivia Hye. Did not compete round 1 due to COVID. Debuted in 2018 (with all 12 members)
KEP1ER - Fresh from Mnet's Girls Planet Survival Show, these 9 girls are the youngest idols on the show: Yujin (Ex-CLC), Mashiro, Xiaoting, Chaehyun, Dayeon, Hikaru, Bahiyyih, Youngeun and Yeseo (Ex-Busters). Debuted in 2022

Ik this is a little late as we're already at Episode 4 so let me add the round 1 summary here lol x

ROUND 1 - Signature Song Challenge:
After introducing themselves to the other contestants, the groups got to work to create a memorable performance of a song that would define them as a group. Sadly, LOONA all contracted C-19, and could not participate, placing 6th automatically.
VIVIZ were up first, performing 2 GFRIEND songs selected by their ex-leader Sowon personally: 'Into The Moon Night' and 'Rough'. While an emotional performance that captivated the hearts of their audience, and ultimately placed them 3rd, Hyolin, Brave Girls and Kep1er had all ranked VIVIZ below their performance, shocking the trio.
Hyolyn performed next with SISTAR's hit song 'Touch My Body'. She went all out with this performance, creating herself a summer paradise on stage. Clearly this performance won the hearts of the audience, placing 1st both internationally and in Korea, with a perfect all-kill of the scores.
Following Hyolyn was Kep1er, who despite their nerves of performing for a live audience for the first time, did an excellent job of their song 'Wa Da Da' that got the audience dancing. The girls placed 4th overall, as well as being ranked by WJSN as below them.
Fourth were Brave Girls, who wanted to break away from their reputation of Rollin', and took a gamble by performing 'Chi Mat Ba Ram' as their main song (though they did through in Rollin' at the end). Despite their efforts though, the group sadly placed 5th of the 5 competing groups, though none of the groups had personally placed Brave Girls below them.
Finally, WJSN closed the show with their performance of 'As You Wish' Sadly for them, their prop (a sand timer) had broken during their performance, covering the stage in sand and glass which made it difficult for the girls to perform fully. Their professionalism showed though, as despite their hinderance, the girls placed 2nd overall, even though VIVIZ had ranked the girls below them (much to Eunseo's dismay).
Despite not getting to perform live, LOONA were also able to record a stage for their song PTT.

Round 2's summary will be posted tomorrow (Friday 22nd), in order to give members of the forums time to watch the episode without spoilers!
What are your opinions on Queendom 2 so far? Who do you think will win?

ROUND 2 - Song Cover Challenge:
For round 2, each group was told they would be covering a song of one of the competing groups. Staring with Hyolyn, the highest ranking participant(s) would choose which group they wanted to compete against, with the lowest ranking participants being left to switch groups by default.
To everyone's surprise, Hyolyn selected absent group LOONA to switch with, followed by WJSN having to select between VIVIZ and Kep1er, before ultimately choosing VIVIZ, leaving Brave Girls and Kep1er to switch their songs. Due to winning the previous episode, Hyolyn was also allowed to select the competing order of the week.
WJSN were the first group to perform, choosing GFRIEND's song Navillera, while giving it a black-magic type twist. Perhaps the song choice was risky though, with both Kep1er and Brave Girls ranking WJSN as below them, along with WJSN ranking 4th in the global votes. Luckily for them though, they were saved by the live audience, overall placing 3rd.
LOONA performed next, feeling the tension of being late to the competition. They performed SISTAR's song Shake It, giving it a cute-retro twist with a musical style stage. While WJSN found the performance forgettable, ranking them as below them, clearly everyone else thought otherwise, with LOONA placing 2nd both globally and within the live audience.
Third to perform were Brave Girls, who despite their initial struggle to decide what song they were to perform, ultimately chose MVSK by Kep1er. While the audience seemed to love their stage, being showered by "Brave Brother's Money", Brave Girls were voted down by both Hyolyn and VIVIZ, as well as placing 6th across all scores. This means if Brave Girls place 6th again next week, they will be eliminated from Queendom 2.
VIVIZ were next to perform, deciding to switch their usual concept with WJSN's Unnatural. Thankfully for the girls, they avoided being voted down again like the previous week, and placed 3rd globally. However, WJSN beat them with the live audience voting, placing them in 4th overall.
Kep1er were up next. The group, filled with a lot of members below the age of 20, panicked upon realising Brave Girls sang a lot of mature songs. However, the girls showed their creativity when deciding to create a mashup of Pool Party and Rollin'. Furthermore, the girls showed their profesionalism, after Dayeon fell from the stage during their final dance number, pulling herself back up and landing in her final position last second. LOONA ranked Kep1er as below them, as well as the girls ranking 5th globally and within the live audience.
Finally, Hyolyn closed the show, and once again blew everyone away. She decided to cover LOONA's So What, giving it a cat woman concept, and even started the performance on an aerial hoop which hung in front of a moon (a reference to LOONA). Hyolyn's incredible performance caused WJSN to rank her as higher than them, with Hyolyn once again getting a perfect all-kill of scores playing 1st globally and within the live audience.

Personal ranking
1st. LOONA
2nd. Hyolyn
3rd. Brave Girls
4th. WJSN
5th. Kep1er
6th. VIVIZ

I cannot wait another day to post this episode review so if you haven't had chance to watch today's episode MAJOR SPOILER WARNING

ROUND 3 PART 1 - Unit Battle:
After 20 years I have returned even though Round 3 is STILL NOT OVER LIKE HELP ME.
I'm so bored of not making these episode summaries that I'm making the part 1 summary right now.

For part 1 of round 3, each group selected the participants that they wish to compete in either a vocalist or a dance unit. The members then went to a retreat where they decided their teammates, songs and got to work rehearsing.
In WJSN, the first vocalist choice was easy, with Yeonjung being an immediate candidate. However, member Soobin decided this would be a perfect opportunity to show off that she too is one of WJSN's main vocalists and joined Yeonjung. As for the dancer unit, main dancer Yeoreum was joined by Eunseo.
In VIVIZ, the members had a hard time deciding who would do what. While Eunha was an immediate choice for the vocalist, and SinB was also selected instantly as their dancer, member Umji had the choice of whether she would join one of her members, or spectate the round. She decided to join SinB in the dance unit!
LOONA, with 12 members, had plenty of girls to choose from, making huge units. Their selected vocal team was Haseul, Jinsoul, Kim Lip and Chuu, with their dancers being Yves, Heejin, Choerry and Olivia Hye
Brave Girls however simply selected one per unit. Main vocalist Minyoung instantly got selected for the vocal unit, with Eunji (who actually filled in for Bom's dance performance in Queendom 1) representing herself this time as a dancer.
Kep1er, like LOONA, were also able to send forward many representatives. GP999 winner known for her angel like voice Chaehyun was selected, alongside all-rounder Youngeun, for the vocalists, with GP999's centres Xiaoting, Dayeon and Hikaru as the dancers.
Hyolyn had the most insane selection of all though, representing both the vocal and the dance unit by herself.

At the retreat the girls all split up and met with their competitors. The dancers were the first to pick their groups, being presented with three brand new songs: 'Purr', 'KA-BOOM' and 'Tell Me Now'. Starting with the lowest ranking group (LOONA), the girls would pick the song they wished to perform. However, if a group that's ranked higher wished, they had the ability to kick the lowest ranking group into a new song.
LOONA first went with the song 'Purr', with Eunji choosing 'Tell Me Now' second. Kep1er joined LOONA in 'Purr', though briefly celebrated as VIVIZ then kicked LOONA out. LOONA went to 'KA-BOOM'. WJSN joined LOONA in 'KA-BOOM', though the new group was once again short lived as Hyolyn kicked LOONA out once more, ultimately landing them in 'Tell Me Now' with Eunji.
The vocal units were next, getting to choose any song they wished to perform. (I'm not going to lie I might have the order wrong for this part so just pretend I got it 100% right). LOONA began the selection and chose room A, quickly being joined by Kep1er. Minyoung then chose room C, with Eunha in room B. Eunha was shocked when Hyolyn first entered room B, though Hyolyn didn't stay long, apologising before joining Minyoung in room C. Drama then ensued when WJSN attempted to get Hyolyn to choose them over Minyoung. While Minyoung was convinced Hyolyn would kick her out, she was shocked that Hyolyn chose her over the WJSN girls. WJSN then partnered with Eunha.
The episode ended with a large get together where the girls performed snippets of the songs they selected, as well as got to vote for different categories.
Minyoung and Hyolyn's unit '33' won for the vocalists, with Eunji and the LOONA members 'Queen Is Na' winning for the dancers. It was also revealed that Dayeon is the member who has been in the industry the longest, acting in her first drama at a very young age. Seola was also voted as the most beautiful idol there, and the most desirable idol was voted to be Hyolyn.

Finally, the unit battle begun.
Up first was LOONA x Kep1er's unit 'Sun and Moon', covering Don't Go by EXO. The stage and vocals were beautiful, warming everyone's hearts. Despite the fact the performance was in no means bad though, the girls placed 3rd.
Next was WJSN x VIVIZ's unit 'Universe in Eunha' covering Hold My Hand by IU. The stage was beautiful, with Soobin and Eunha showing off their amazing vocal abilities and of course Yeonjung blowing everyone's minds with her powerful vocals. Despite not winning during the interim check, the girls clearly stole the hearts of the audience, placing 1st.
Finally was Hyolyn x Brave Girls's unit '33' covering To My Youth by BOL4. This emotional performance reminisced about youth, and captured the shared feelings of Hyolyn and Minyoung as leaders of their teams as they faced hardships. The performance was incredible, though only placed the girls 2nd.
As for the dance units, VIVIZ x Kep1er's unit 'KEV1Z' opened with 'Purr', showing off their power and intense skills. Much to the girls' disapointment though, the unit placed 3rd.
Hyolyn x WJSN as 'EX-IT' were next with 'KA-BOOM'. Their villain themed stage impressed the audience, and the girls were very satisfied with their stage, leaving with a lot of pride. The girls ended up placing 2nd.
As for Brave Girls x LOONA's unit 'Queen Is Na', their performance of 'Tell Me Now' shocked everyone. While the girls were originally nervous due to the seductive choreography not being something they were used to, the girls nailed the performance and ended up placing 1st.

Current standings if you consider both performances together:
WJSN and Brave Girls: 1st - One 1st, One 2nd
LOONA and VIVIZ: 2nd - One 1st, One 3rd. Hyolyn: 2nd - Two 2nds
Kep1er: 3rd - Two 3rds

My personal ranking
Vocals
33 - To My Youth
Universe in Eunha - Hold My Hand
Sun and Moon - Don't Go
Dance
Queen Is Na - Tell Me Now
EX-IT - KA-BOOM
KEV1Z - Purr

Next episode will contain part 2 of round 3. I won't lie I don't really know much about round 3 part 2 but it seems they're all performing different songs chosen by the fans?? Once the votes from that performance is also counted, we will know the final ranking of round 3.

Extra spoiler: THE END OF EPISODE SPOILER MADE IT LOOK LIKE BRAVE GIRLS IS GETTING ELIMINATED AND I SWEAR IF THAT HAPPENS I AM LEAVING KPOP YOU TASTELESS MFS LIKE OMFG YOU CANNOT ELIMINATE BRAVE GIRLS THEY GIVE ENDLESS INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCES THEY'RE ONLY LOSING COZ OF THEIR SMALLER FANDOM LIKE WTF AND IF THEY GET ELIMINATED AFTER EUNJI LITERALLY GOT 1ST FOR DANCE I WILL SCREAM. ROUND 3 PART 2 - FANtastic Queendom:
Part 2 of Round 3, and the final round before the finale on Thursday 2nd of June, required all the groups to perform a song specifically for their fans.
Orbit, Na.V, Ujung, Fearless, Kep1ians and BAE were all given the opportunity to give their groups feedback on what songs they wanted to see, while the groups also made a lot of effort to deliver a performance perfect for their fans.

Kep1ian's got to attend a surprise meet and greet with Kep1er, which they thought was just a WA DA DA dance class. After a heart felt conversation with Kep1er, Kep1ians begun suggesting songs, several of which were by SNSD. After discussing as a group, Kep1er selected the song "THE BOYS" by SNSD as their FANtastic song.
VIVIZ prepared snacks and beauty products for Na.V, which they enjoyed a lot. Several of Na.V spoke about how they'd followed VIVIZ all the way from their GFRIEND days, and wanted VIVIZ to perform a song that showed their new identity as VIVIZ. The members decided to use their debut song "BOP BOP" as their song.
The opposite of Kep1er happened for WJSN. The girls believed they would be doing an online stream for Ujung all over the world, but once the "stream" began, a certain fell to reveal WJSN had a live audience of Ujung. WJSN did have a surprise of their own though, revealing member BONA was back from her filming and would participate in Queendom from now on. After Ujung shared their song choice, it was decided that WJSN would sing their bside "Pantomime" from their Neverland album.
LOONA received many heartfelt messages from Orbit, as well as a video message encouraging the members. LOONA had received many requests to perform their song "Butterfly", and the members felt a strong connection to it, due to it being the first song the group got to sing for international Orbit live. To them, "Butterfly" was the easy choice.
Brave Girls had a difficult time deciding on a song for their Fearless, and held a livestream where they sung their different choices. The main two candidates were upbeat song "High Heels" and more emotional song "Red Sun". Fearless unanimously chose "Red Sun" as Brave Girls's performance song
For Hyolyn, she did a street busking performance for her Baes, allowing them to choose between "See Sea" and "BAE". Fans had a difficult choice ahead of them, ultimately choosing "See Sea", though Hyolyn had another trick up her sleeve...

Kep1er were the first to perform, pulling off their best performance yet with their cover of SNSD's song, and gaining host Taeyeon's approval. Their horror concept showed their true strength and the girls clearly challenged themselves a lot for this performance. Sadly, their efforts went unrecognised, with the girls being voted down by Brave Girls, along with placing 6th overall this week.
Next up were VIVIZ, pulling off a highschool cheerleading concept (which very much stole my heart as an ex-cheerleader myself). The concept was bright and colourful, but sadly they suffered a similiar fate to Kep1er, being voted down by both Hyolyn and LOONA. Ultimately, VIVIZ placed 5th.
WJSN worked hard to pull off the best performance they could, even having members EXY, Bona, Luda and Seola learn aerials in order to show off a performance truly worth watching. Their flashy stunts payed off, the girls ultimately placing 2nd.
Up next were LOONA, pulling off a mystical rendition of "Butterfly" that had the audience speechless. The performance didn't go down well for the other groups though, having WJSN, Kep1er and VIVIZ all vote LOONA down. That didn't stop the girls though, with them ultimately placing 3rd thanks to the votes of the fans.
Brave Girls had the most difficult time, knowing that if this performance failed and they placed 6th (which we know didn't happen but for the sake of drama pretend you're on the edge of your seats waiting to hear their result), they would be eliminated. "Red Sun" is a song that tells their story of struggling to success, with videos of the girls from their early career and close to disbandment being shown, before the girls blew the audience away with their beautiful vocals and stage, even wearing beautiful pairs of glass slippers that truly captured their beauty. Many of the other groups cried for Brave Girls seeing their pain, with Kep1er and VIVIZ both ranking Brave Girls above them, to their surprise. What shocked Brave Girls more is that they placed 1st both internationally and within the live audience, placing them 1st overall.
Hyolyn went last, having her longtime fan and professional dancer Hyerim join her on stage to show her love for her Baes. She decided to mix both "See Sea" and "BAE" together, creating a summery-lifeguard themed stage, fun and memorable. Brave Girls loved the performance, ranking Hyolyn above them. To everyone's shock though, Hyolyn placed 6th internationally, breaking her perfect streak of all 1sts. She was saved by the live audience though, placing 4th overall.

My personal ranking
1st. Brave Girls
2nd. WJSN
3rd. LOONA
4th. Kep1er
5th. Hyolyn
6th. VIVIZ

Next week is the Queendom finale, and to prepare for the Comebacks Round, all the upcoming songs are on Spotify.
IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS PLEASE DO NOT READ:
Hyolyn will be performing "Waka Boom" (feat. Lee Youngji), WJSN will be performing "AURA", Kep1er will be performing "THE GIRLS (Can't turn me down)", VIVIZ will be performing "Red Sun!", LOONA will be performing "Pose" and Brave Girls will be performing "Whistle".
My personal order of favourite to least favourite:
Whistle > AURA > The Girls > Waka Boom > Pose > Red Sun!

As for who I think will win, I'm not 100% sure so here are my predictions:
LOONA will be in the top 3, most likely top 2 unless one of the other groups outperforms them
WJSN will also be in the top 3, though are most likely to be 3rd
Either Hyolyn or Brave Girls will place in the top 3 too, depending on whoever does better in their live performances
Kep1er will probably place 4th, as they have a strong fanbase that will give them lots of streams, but they probably won't win the live voting
VIVIZ will probably place 6th. I feel so mean saying this but based on the trends of the show and their fandom I feel like they won't win. Unless Brave Girls suddenly lose all their support. I might be biased though as Red Sun! is the only of the new songs I dislike

Brave Girls had the most difficult time, knowing that if this performance failed and they placed 6th (which we know didn't happen but for the sake of drama pretend you're on the edge of your seats waiting to hear their result).

IM SO HAPPY BRAVE GIRLS WON

Today is the day of the Queendom finale.
I am sad to say I won’t be able to watch it live today, and won’t be able to watch it at all until Friday evening, so I will not be able to post the finale summary and winners for a while.
While I’m sure there will be a news thread announcing the winners anyway, I’d really appreciate if no one posted anything here coz I’d really like to be able to post the final summary and have a chance at announcing it but also coz I don’t want to be spoiled either LMAO

QUEENDOM 2 - THE GRAND FINALE
Before we begin, I do have 2 things I have to say, one is an apology, the other is a confession and an apology at once!
1. Some parts of this episode were not subbed on the site I was watching them, so I won't be able to provide some background info to the performance preperations. I'm sorry. Hyolyn and VIVIZ were the two affected groups.
2. I spent many hours out today, so by the time I got home I was shattered, and ended up falling asleep during part of the episode... whoops. Thing is, I don't think that part was subbed anyways so! But yes, I may have missed some details, so I'm sorry about that.

Welcome to the finale of Queendom 2
Over the last few months, six teams have been competing against each other to win the title of Kpop Queen. Finally, this battle came to an end.
Who will the winner be?
Will it be Brave Girls? The Queens of reversing the charts, starting at the bottom and working their way to the top?
Will it be VIVIZ? A trio of idols showing their unwavering strength after losing their past group?
Will it be Kep1er? A group of rookie idols full of ambition and strength, becoming better every week that passed?
Will it be WJSN? A group full of hidden gems, wowing the audience weekly with their talent?
Will it be LOONA? A group who act as one, giving performances no one can top or expect?
Or will it be Hyolyn? A senior soloist with immense talent, dominanting the competition weekly with her power?

Before the performances began, the leaderboards for the pre-existing stats were shown.
First was the combined score of rounds 1-3.
In last was Kep1er, followed by LOONA and VIVIZ.
In 3rd was the queens of reversal, Brave Girls, having such a perfect score the week prior that it sent them straight to 3rd.
In 2nd was WJSN, who weekly wowed the audience with their skills, so it was no surprise they placed here.
Of course in 1st was Hyolyn, who was unmatched with her two weeks of perfect scores.

As for the pre-show streaming results.
In last was Hyolyn, followed by Brave Girls and Kep1er.
In 3rd was VIVIZ, with their strong fandom giving them so much deserved love
In 2nd was WJSN again, with their song clearly stealing the hearts of many
In 1st was LOONA, with their unmatched fandom of loyal Orbits, this was clearly forseen.

Due to winning round 3, Brave Girls got to select the order for this week's performances.
Hyolyn was up first, wrapping up her weeks of flawless performances with power and beauty, with the song 'Waka Boom'. She teamed up with rapper Youngji who blew everyone away with her skill, including Hyolyn herself. Waka Boom was an incredible stage, with a queen of the dessert theme that truly captured Hyolyn's hold on Queendom.

Up next was WJSN, whose song 'Aura' had been written by leader EXY herself, who wrote the song to perfectly capture her members' individual talents. And that she did, with no fancy set or props needed, with WJSN's aura alone creating a beautiful and powerful stage (haha get it, aura, puns).
Up in third was Kep1er, who reminisced on their hard times as a rookie group in a sea of unnies, but how they felt so confident in their abilities as the show went on. Kep1er really proved themself as queens on Queendom, with their final song 'The Girls' truly capturing their abilities.
In fourth was VIVIZ, who performed an unreleased GFRIEND song 'Red Sun' (source: some random tweet I saw), with a stage fit for a musical, filled with magic and drama. It was truly a beautiful stage.
In fifth was LOONA, pulling off a concept only they ever could, with smooth raps being the highlight of their song 'Pose', along with their charming attitude. Once again, LOONA really proved they are the queens of performance on this show.
To end the show was Brave Girls, who proved they were in fact the summer queens of Queendom, with their song 'Whistle' being deemed the next Rollin due to its energy. The girls joked about how they wanted to avoid reversing the charts again, and yet ended up doing it. They also went to the beach where Chi Mat Ba Ram was filmed, to gain stength from a location that meant a lot to them.

Once the stages were over, Eunha, Seola, Heejin, Yuna, Hyolyn and Yeseo prepared a final stage 'Epilogue' in order to wrap up the show. The song was beautiful, serving as a beautiful finale to such an intense competition.
Clips were then shown of the girls reacting to resolutions they'd made before the beginning of the show. Tears and laughter was shared, reacting to the sweet moments but also the funny fails at keeping resolutions. It acted as a nice reminder of everything the girls had been through.

Then came the announcement of the final 2 teams. Who would win?
After what felt like years of stalling, which i'm not even sure why I was so nervous about since thanks to twitter I already knew who won, it was finally announced the two final winners were WJSN and LOONA.

At this point I realise I've misnamed this thread. I'm sorry about the mistake.
From now on, Queendom 2 will now be known as Star Wars.
So, who will win Queendom 2, and join Mamamoo and Stray Kids in the hall of fame?
Cosmic Girls or Moon Girls?

I know I've suddenly become a clown look it's funny.

After another 20 years of stalling, it was finally revealed that WJSN are the crowned winners of Queendom.

The girls expressed their gratitude and happiness, with some members unable to speak from shock, and other members being stolen by their best friends from other groups (cough SinB and Eunseo).

LOONA expressed their disappointment but congratulated the winning group regardless.

FINAL QUEENDOM RANKING:
1st. WJSN (81,020 points)
2nd. LOONA (77,988 points)
3rd. VIVIZ (54,419 points)
4th. Hyolyn (48,761 points)
5th. Kep1er (46,976 points)
6th. Brave Girls (45,896 points)

What do you think of the final ranking? Are you shocked by the winner?

I want to express that if you are in fact disappointed in the winner, please do not spread hate to the girls. All 6 teams worked extremely hard on these performances, so do not discredit this. There is a huge difference between feeling sad someone lost to saying a winner didn't deserve their win. Many people have been speculating that the win was rigged. Whether you agree with this or not, I'd appreciate if that was kept to yourself as this is suppose to be a thread to celebrate all the competing groups.
