Born on October 5, 1993, in Seoul, his early life was defined by a nomadic existence in China, where he lived for nearly two decades in cities such as Yanji, Shenyang, and Beijing due to his parents' professions as university professors. This multicultural upbringing allowed him to become trilingual—fluent in Korean, Mandarin Chinese, and English—a trait that later became a cornerstone of his songwriting.
Despite his parents' initial desire for him to pursue a traditional academic path, Oh Hyuk was deeply drawn to music from a young age.
