Welcome to the Official IU Comeback Thread
News of her comeback came to fruition by her company. On January 11th they stated the following:
“IU is currently in the midst of preparations for her fifth full-length album, and she will be pre-releasing one song from that album on January 27.”
The album's name is LILAC.
The title tracks are called "LILAC" and "Coin".
Dean will be collaborating on a song in the album.
The release date is March 25th, 2021
This will be her first full album since "Palette" in 2017.
IU will drop a pre-release track called "Celebrity" on January 27th.
Her company describes the pre-release as the following:
"The song has a bright and cheerful pop sound that can energize those listening to it. It’s a genre of music that IU is trying for the first time.”
All of this was confirmed by IU during her acceptance speech at The Golden Disc Awards.
