Billboard Japan has announced the latest Hot Albums chart (Oct 1, 2025 / tracking Sept 22–28), and Number_i’s 2nd full album No.II has taken the No.1 spot overall — sweeping CD sales, downloads, and streaming for a triple crown.
The album includes 16 tracks, such as “GOD_i,” which topped the JAPAN Hot Shot Songs chart earlier this year, and the pre-release “Numbers Ur Zone.” No.II sold 298,426 CDs, earned 22,259 downloads, and dominated streaming to secure the crown.
Behind them were Fujii Kaze and Mrs. GREEN APPLE, while legendary rocker Eikichi Yazawa entered at No.5 with his 35th album I believe, marking his 50th anniversary as a solo artist. Satomi of Sutopuri also entered the top 10 with his 2nd album S’s.
Elsewhere, Kenshi Yonezu continues his global rise: his latest single “IRIS OUT” set a new all-time points record on the Japan Hot 100 since 2023’s methodology changes, and charted at No.5 on Billboard Global 200 — the highest position ever for a Japanese-language song. Several of his past albums also climbed strongly this week.
