Okay, I know, another one. I've had these thoughts for a while now, though, and I would love to share them. Here are my three theories:
1) Lovesick Girls is about how they can't date and fall in love because they're idols. Pretty explanatory. "But we were born to be alone," The unfortunate status of idols not being able to date.
2) They're talking about a homosexual relationship between two women. Far-fetched, I know, and I'm not saying it to be true, but it's one of many possible theories. The other person in the video is male, yes, but we barely see his face and he has long hair--- Are they trying to portray a woman? Is this trying to show that where they are now, it's looked down upon to be in a homosexual relationship?
3) All four members showcase different mental illnesses. (Personally, I don't like that word, because I don't think you're 'ill' to have a bad mental state.) Rosé shows bipolar disorder. Throughout the MV, we see it switch back and forth between her being happy and then sad and angry, navigating between the highs and lows of bipolar. Jisoo shows schizophrenia. In the MV, we see her in impossible scenes, whereas the other members are in plausible situations. Lisa shows depression. She is seen as apathetic in her first rap verse, and then breaking things in anger--- which, anger and apathy can be symptoms of depression.. Jennie was a little bit harder to decipher, but I believe that she could be portraying DID (dissociative identity disorder). We see her acting like a child, then we see her as her adult self.
I am probably wrong, but what are your opinions?
