Jieun Officially Leaves Purple Kiss

Today, November 17, RBW released a statement regarding member Park Jieun, informing fans that she has officially left the group due to anxiety and health concerns.

Their statement reads:
"Hello, this is RBW.

First of all, we apologize for the sudden news to fans who love their artist Purple Kiss.

Park Jieun, who has been a member of Purple Kiss for a while, has left the team. Park Jieun recently visited the hospital due to persistant conditions of hurting and anxiety during group activities, and was adviced by a specialist that she needed more rest and stability.

During the break, we discussed in depth with Park Jieun about group activities and future careers for a long time, and after careful discussion, we've agreed to conclude her activities as Purple Kiss's Park Jieun.

Jieun will conclude her activities as a member of Purple Kiss as of today, and Purple Kiss will continue their group activites with a six-member system.

We aplogize for the inconvenience to our fans, and we will not spare any support for Jieun's recovery and future actions.

We would like to ask Park Jieun, who will be walking on a new path, to support us as we are now, and we would like to ask for your warm support to the six members who will show further growth."

I’m literally so shocked. I always noticed how Jieun seemed a little quieter but all the members seemed to love and take care of each other, so it’s sad to hear behind the scenes she was having a hard time. I hope she is able to recover well

i think a lot of 4th gen idols are leaving their groups due to how toxic the industry has become. i know its always been toxic but in my opinion i think this gen has the most toxic and unrealistic standards. thats why alot of 4th gen idols are leaving their group due to health concerns.
