Is there any group you felt pressure to stan?

Twice: I liked their music, but after all my friends were stanning them, I decided I wanted to get into them. I felt pressure to get all the members quick so I wouldn't be the odd one out, don't regret it though.

NewJeans: avi stanned them, and I was in a moment where I wanted to stan all the groups hybe had, so I felt pressure to stan them asap, don't regret it as well

Yes, Monsta X and ATEEZ. Everyone around me was stanning them. I did end up stanning (and unstanning) ATEEZ. But Monsta X did not click with me at all. Also the fact that they were in every "funny kpop moment" comp in 2018 (the year I got into kpop), also the fact that my ults, Seventeen, were good friends with them.

btw I felt a lot of pressure to stan Blackpink, specially because the people who introduced me to the online kpop community were hardcore blinks.

I credit myself with being good at resisting peer pressure and standing by my own opinions, but there are some groups I always feel like I’m suppose to stan and love but I just dont

I think the only group I felt pressured to stan was Le Sserafim. I don’t regret calling myself a Le Sserafim stan because they have some really good songs but I don’t LOVE them. They’re not really my favourite group but I’d consider them too 10.

Some groups which I feel like I should like but I don’t really are Red Velvet, Stayc, LOONA and Dreamcatcher. I did stan LOONA and Dreamcatcher briefly but I went off their music

I also feel like I felt pressure to stan TWICE but rn I do just genuinely stan TWICE and from my own choice so

for me it's svt, newjeans, and dreamcatcher. ppl always make them be the "superior" group and compare to other with the "authenticity" that they have. i love ive, and i'm not a big fan of njs music and their producer. whenever i say i like ive, newjeans is brought up in the conversation. this is the same for dreamcatcher and svt. ppl always so dreamcatcher is underrated and i feel bad so i go listen to their music just to figure out i don't like their music.

I’m with you on this. I haven’t even listened to any of their songs because they’re all so young and it doesn’t feel right to me, like at all. So I agree with you.

So I'm gonna share a story rn

One day I basically tried to get my little cousin into a K-pop group. He wouldn't listen to any ggs (sad ik) but he did really like skz music and their overall sound. He told me he wanted to stan them.
Now at the time, I didn't stan skz so the members were pretty new to me (I only recall knowing Felix). So in order to help him stan skz, needed to know a little bit about them. I started listening to more of their bsides and watched a few vlives.

Fast forward to now, and I stan skz (along with my little cousin, he biases Changbin.) I am an ot8
So I guess you could say I am EXTREMELY grateful for my little cousin
