How to add videos/gifs on signature?

Hello, I need help with this!
When I made my signature, it let me add a image, and I wanted to add a gif but it wouldn't allow me. I see others with gifs but it dosent work for me

for the images, do you copy the image address and paste it into the link button from when you click the image icon? (if that made sense)

I put the image URL into insert image.
