Help with becoming a author

I sent in my email to [email protected] expressing intrest in becoming an author with my prefered username and address 10 days ago and a follow up email 5 days later. I saw others saying they received an response the same day so I am just wondering if I did something wrong or do I just need to wait more. Any help would be appreciated!
