I just watched this video and was thinkin' about it.
Here's my take:

Pros:
-Bring popularity, especially Koreans, to Everglow.
-Could lessen the extremes in the line distribution.
-Yena/IZ*ONE stans still get to see her preform/in variety pretty regularly
-Yena would have somewhere to go after IZ*ONE disbands

Cons:
-Yena will get a lot of hate from Everglow OT6 fans
-Everglow will get a lot of hate from Yena fans
-Like many post-produce groups the group could easily become Yena and Friends (Dia, Gugudan, Weki Meki)
-Yena would be joining 2+ years after debut, which could really upset Everglow's identity
-Just because Mia would have less lines, doesn't mean the other members would get more

Also to take into account, what would Yena do after disbandment? I don't think she would go solo, so she would have to leave her company, and join another to debut in a new group.

I think it would be a good idea if Everglow debuted the same year IZ*ONE disbands, or even in the year prior, cause 2 years is a big gap. I feel like she would get considerable hate as well.

What do you think?

personally i'd rather not see yena in everglow just because i like her in more cheerful and upbeat concepts than everglow's concept.

in my heart of hearts i very self-indulgently want a yena/yiren subunit that just does straight up pop.

I know Yena debuted as a soloist but if she joined everglow, we wouldn’t have gotten the smiley and smartphone albums. and those two albums are both no skips.
