Im getting the braces on friday, and i already got these little (the denist said rubber? or tie idk how y'all say it) between some of my tooth and it's actually really painful when i eat... My denist were really rushing and she literally didn't said anything about it, i don't even know what is it and why it's in my mouth

Do anyone have any tips or like what snacks can you eat with braces?? Tyy
When you first get them on, they hurt a lot. Just take plenty of pain killers during the first week. Also prepare for the fact every time your braces get tightened they’re going to hurt again. However each time they get tightened you’ll get more and more use to the pain.
As for food, don’t chew anything hard or sticky. I ways found breaking certain things up (like chocolate for example) was a lot safer than just biting into it.
Basically any food that’s squishy will probably be okay.
If you break your brace just tell your orthodontist and hopefully they’ll be able to schedule an appointment to fix it quickly.
As for what’s in your mouth sorry I don’t know. I had train track braces, a block brace and I had rubber bands at one point but they were hooked onto my brace not my teeth…

Aah thanks! I have been already told that its painful but hopefully i'll survive... The thing that i can't eat snickers or twix anymore hurts more than knowing the braces will hurt lol

I have congestion btw.
I wore braces for two years, and what helped me a lot was using orthodontic wax for sore spots and steering clear of sticky foods. After getting them off, I looked into ways to improve my smile, and I found
https://jeffreygrossdds.com/services/cosmetic-dentistry/ super helpful. It breaks down stuff like teeth whitening and bonding, which can really polish your look after braces.
