For me there are two ways it can go down:

Yes-Its their lives and if they are different companies they can work together or separately (Idols will date in secret to not involve debates and have people make assumptions about the said couple)
No- Rumours start. you might think two idols are together, but its just Sasengs making up things

Then again.. Idols and companies depend on how it goes down

I think it has something to do with their culture; Koreans believe more in that fairytale story when they meet their idol and marry them at the movie's end. However, Americans are more realistic at this point and understand that famous Hollywood actors or singers will date someone as perfect and rich as they are, so it is not wise of us to continue looking for a star to date. Moreover, we tend to gossip about relationships in Hollywood, which is another pleasure, though we know we will never get involved. But your soulmate doesn't have to be famous and outstanding. I met my hubby on a naturist dating app and was excited to see such an intelligent and interesting man. We have been married for 5 years already.
