Recently, AMX Ent. reported to debut their new girlgroup.
When they presented the first member, Hye-Jin, 18 y/o, everything was ok, but when they announced the second member, Ha-Eun, netizens were worried.
Ha-Eun is a young girl who participed as mannequin/K-Drama young actress.
She entered in the Korean industry 2 years ago (so when she was 10 years old)
Born in september 4, 2008, Ha-Eun will be the dancer & the sub-vocalist of the group.

Many K-Pop fans have called on companies to stop bringing children into such a mentally and physically taxing industry, while others have suggested that it should even be illegal for idols to debut this young.
Continuing on, some fans pointed out that the agency did not clarify whether she was the group's maknae or not. they dread a 10 or 11 year old member.
Although she has some dancing / singing talents, internet users think she shouldn't be making her debut at this age.
What do you think guys? Do you think she should do her debut now?

She's quite young to debut...i think it should be illegal because 12 years old. She's pretty much not even a teen yet and there are so many other idols debuting really young which probably has a mental effect on them too

See, I think it depends. She has already been in k-dramas, so, unfortunately, she has probably already experienced the industry. Honestly, it’s not weird for her to want to become an idol after already being in the spotlight.
Though, I do agree with you, and I wish she had more time to just… Be a kid.

Mhm, and she probably knows how it works though, yeah
She needs to experience the time as a kid while she still can, yes

Young idols are always something I never have a straight opinion on because there’s so many different things you have to consider.

On a base level, it should seem as easy as if all 3 parties (the company, the child and the parents) consent then there’s no issue. However a lot of children think they can handle a lot more than they actually can, especially young teens. I mean I’m 16 and I still sometimes think I’m a lot older than I actually am. So I don’t know whether someone as young as her should be allowed by law to consent to working in such a taxing industry. Though someone mentioned she has already worked in child acting, and is most likely used to fame by now, so hopefully that means she’ll be able to handle the industry.

Either way, good luck to her and her group
