I don't get why so many people are starting to complain now that 4th gen groups are making new songs with more mature concepts, or with more mature lyrics.
Just recently (G)I-DLE had a comeback titled ¨Queencard¨. And the lyrics were designed for teens or just an older audience. Which (imo) is fine!
Most K-pop idols are adults so they might not always want to sing songs like ¨Gee¨ anymore, or ¨Fancy¨. As K-pop evolves there are gonna be changes in the style of the music, and the amount of mature content that is said.
I am aware that now these days, there are more minors debuting in K-pop. So of course mature lyrics/song concepts should always be used appropriately when sung by minors. But K-pop idols that are in their early twenties aren't always gonna want to be singing about candy or magical fairy wonderlands.
So what are your thoughts on K-pop groups releasing songs with more mature lyrics/content? I want to know your thoughts!
Please keep in mind that others might have different opinions so just stay respectful <3
