About The Group!
AKB48 debuted in 2006 with single Aitakatta. The group currently has 200 members, not counting sister groups. They're the idols you can meet!

They hold events to vote for the center of each new single. These are called Senbatsu Elections. You can vote in person, or though slips given in physical albums. Centers can also be chosen through Janken Battles. This is a Rock-Paper Scissors Tournament​
