Chapter 1:
The silence in the abandoned art school was suffocating, broken only by the sound of Y/N’s frantic breathing. She never should have come here with them.
A simple dare had brought the three of them to this hollowed-out building: Hyunjin, with his sharp eye for beauty, and Lee Know, whose calm exterior often hid a biting intensity.
Hyunjin walked ahead, the beam of his flashlight dancing over peeling wallpaper. He had always claimed that true art required a touch of darkness, and lately, his sketches of Y/N had become increasingly surreal, capturing expressions of fear she didn't know she possessed. "Stay close," he murmured, his hand briefly brushing hers. "The shadows here have a way of changing things."
Lee Know trailed behind, his footsteps nearly silent. Unlike Hyunjin’s expressive passion, Lee Know’s interest was quiet and observant. He noticed the way the dust settled and the way the air grew colder. "He’s right about the shadows," Lee Know said, his voice echoing slightly. "But he doesn't tell you that he's the one casting them."

Chapter 2:
They reached the grand hall, where moonlight filtered through cracked skylights, illuminating rows of draped canvases. Hyunjin stopped in front of a massive frame and pulled the cloth away. It was a portrait of Y/N, but the eyes were missing, replaced by intricate, swirling patterns that seemed to pulse in the low light.
"It's almost finished," Hyunjin whispered, his gaze fixed on the painting rather than the girl standing beside him. "It just needs a bit more... reality."
Lee Know stepped forward, placing himself between Y/N and the canvas. "Real life doesn't belong in a frame, Hyunjin. You're trying to trap a moment that isn't yours to keep." He turned to Y/N, his expression unreadable in the dark. "The exit is back the way we came. You should decide who you trust before the moon sets."
The tension between the two men felt physical, a heavy weight in the dusty air. As the floorboards groaned under an unseen pressure, Y/N realized that the horror of the school wasn't just in the walls, but in the suffocating devotion of the two people standing on either side. The door they had entered through suddenly creaked shut, leaving the three of them alone in the gallery of unfinished memories.

Chapter 3:
The heavy thud of the door echoed like a gavel, sealing the three of you in the suffocating silence of the hall. The air grew colder, smelling of turpentine and old secrets. Hyunjin didn't flinch at the sound; instead, he reached out, his fingers hovering just inches from the swirling voids where your eyes should have been on the canvas.
"Trust is a fragile thing to ask for in a place built on lies, Minho," Hyunjin murmured, finally turning his head. His eyes were wide, reflecting the pale moonlight like polished glass. "You talk of freedom, yet you’ve been following her through these halls like a shadow. Are you protecting her, or are you just waiting for the right moment to claim the frame for yourself?"
Lee Know’s jaw tightened, his hand finding your wrist—not with a squeeze of aggression, but with a grounding, frantic heat. "I'm trying to get her out of this fever dream you've built. Look at the walls, Hyunjin. The building is feeding on your obsession."
As if on cue, the swirling patterns in the portrait began to bleed, the dark ink trickling down the painted cheeks like obsidian tears. The floorboards beneath you didn't just groan; they rippled. The "unseen pressure" Lee Know mentioned manifested as dark, vine-like shadows creeping out from under the other draped canvases, snaking toward your boots.
"The moon is setting, Y/N," Lee Know hissed, his voice dropping to a desperate low as he tugged you toward the shadows of the back corridor. "If you stay here, you become part of the gallery. If you come with me, we run until the sun breaks. Decide. Now."
Hyunjin stepped toward you, his hand outstretched, palm up—an invitation to stay in the beautiful, frozen nightmare he’d crafted just for you. "The world outside is chaotic, Y/N. Here, I can make you eternal. I can make you perfect."
The choice felt like a physical tear in your chest. One offered a terrifying, uncertain escape into the dark; the other offered a haunting, breathless devotion that would never let you go.

Chapter 4:
The air in the room grew suffocatingly heavy, smelling of ozone and old varnish. Hyunjin’s painted eyes were mesmerizing, glowing with a soft, predatory light that promised freedom from pain, but at the cost of your soul. Beside you, Lee Know’s grip on your wrist was bruising, a desperate lifeline anchoring you to the chaotic, painful world of the living.
"You're not a masterpiece, Hyunjin," you choked out, your voice trembling but gaining strength as you looked from his beautiful, terrifying face to the dark vines creeping up your boots. "You're a prison."
Hyunjin’s expression didn't shatter; it simply smoothed over into a mask of heartbreaking sorrow, his hand dropping slowly.
"Run," Lee Know commanded, not wasting another second.
You bolted.
The corridor stretched, turning into a warped, endless tunnel of shifting frames and screaming portraits as you sprinted. Behind you, you heard the sickening sound of the gallery walls closing in, a roar of canvas and oil paint tearing apart.
Lee Know didn't let go, pulling you through a heavy, cold door just as the floor behind you vanished into a void. You stumbled out into the damp, biting night air, collapsing onto cold concrete. The heavy iron door slammed shut behind you, disappearing into a solid brick wall the moment it clicked closed.
You gasped for breath, the scent of rain and city asphalt replacing the scent of death. Looking up, you saw the faint grey line of dawn breaking on the horizon.
Lee Know was panting beside you, his knuckles white, staring at the blank brick wall. "He won't stop looking for you," he murmured, his voice tight. "But at least today, you're still you."

Chapter 5:
The city air felt sharp in your lungs, a brutal contrast to the stifling, painted world you’d just escaped. You pushed yourself up from the cold concrete, your knees trembling, and looked at Lee Know. He wasn't looking at you; he was tracing the invisible outline of where the door had been with haunted, intense eyes.
"He won't stop," you repeated, your voice barely a whisper, the memory of Hyunjin’s heartbroken expression threatening to shatter your resolve. "Why, Lee Know? What did I... what did I even do?"
Lee Know finally turned, his gaze heavy with a secret that seemed to weigh down his entire frame. He reached out, grabbing your shoulders, his grip almost painful, forcing you to meet his eyes. "You didn't do anything. That's the problem."

Chapter 5:
Before you could ask what that meant, a low, ominous groan echoed from behind the brick wall—like canvas tearing, but magnified a thousand times. The ground beneath you vibrated.
Lee Know didn't wait for you to panic. He grabbed your hand again, his skin ice-cold, and pulled you down the narrow, rain-slicked alley. "No more questions. We have to move. If he finds us out here... it won't just be our souls trapped in that gallery."
You heard the sound of screeching metal echoing behind you, a sound that definitely didn't belong in a quiet city street. You didn't look back. You just ran, the scent of rain quickly being replaced by something metallic and familiar—the scent of oil paint and old, dusty memories chasing you into the dawn.

Chapter 6:
The alley opened into a deserted, dimly lit courtyard, the air heavy with the smell of wet concrete and rust. Lee Know shoved you behind a large, overflowing dumpster, his breath catching in ragged, icy puffs. He held a finger to his lips, his dark eyes scanning the exit you had just emerged from with a ferocity that terrified you more than the noise.
You pressed your back against the cold, wet brick, trying to control your shallow breathing. "Lee," you whispered, your voice shaking, "What is that thing?"
He looked down at you, the faint light from a distant streetlamp reflecting in his eyes, making them seem almost inhumanly bright. "It’s not a thing," he murmured, his voice barely audible over the sudden, violent thud of something heavy landing in the alley behind you. "It’s a Curator. And it's not looking for art."
